Lise (EN)

Description

LISE is a drop shoulder sweater, knit bottom up. The body is first worked in-the-round and then the front and the back are finished flat separately. The shoulders are grafted together, and the sleeves are worked in-the-round after having picked up the stitches around the armhole.
The whole sweater is knitted in Cat Paws stitch alternating with rounds in stockinette stitch. The hem trim, the wrists and the neckband are worked in 2/2 ribs. The stripes are optional, but they give a modern look to the sweater and contrast with the lace stitch. Knit in silk and mohair, LISE is a very light sweater perfect for the in-between seasons!

Yarn 2: Sensai by Ito Yarn col. Bordeaux 0312 (60% mohair, 40% silk) (20gr = 240m / 265 yds)

Optional – Yarns 3, 4 et 5 : Leftover Kid Silk from Drops col. Light Jeans Blue 08, Cobalt Blue 21 and Navy Blue 28 (75% mohair, 25% silk) (25gr = 200m / 218 yds). Haft a skein by colour is sufficient.
 
Circular needles :
3.5mm (80-100 cm) and 2,5mm (60-80cm)
4 US (32-40 in) and 1.5US (32-40 in)

Notions : 2 stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
Knit flat on 3.5mm / 4 US needles with one strand of yarn 1 and one of yarn 2 held together. Measure the swatch after blocking:
Cat Paws stitch: 23 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in
 
Note : Lace patterns tend to grow over large areas so I recommend making a big swatch (20x20cm / 8×8 in) for the measurements to be more accurate.
